Welcome to my personal wiki. This site is used as a central repository for technical documentation of my own projects, as well as public pieces of information I think might be useful for others.
I would like to thank the wiki-js developers for making this amazing open-source wiki software which is so far the best wiki software I have used to date - I hope it continues to grow and that I may be able to contribute to it some day.
Here is a list of things I am currently working on and why.
This is an amazing piece of open-source, self-hosted software I came across while reading reddit posts about home organization and automation. At my house, we have multiple adults that all have their own way of doing things. We have many cooks in the house, and as a consequence, we are constantly running out of food. During the pandemic while everyone got a taste of the desire to "prep" and stock food, I realized that we will be wasting a lot of money if we do not stock food in a highly organized manner. One person can cook and manage food but whenever there is more than one person involved, it becomes chaos. My goal is to utilize this system, along with some custom-made electronic sensors and buttons, in order to track our consumption and replenish stock before we run out of things, and ideally stock the maximum amount of a particular type of food without risking anything going bad. Grocy has tools to accomplish this goal, but the biggest challenge right now is optimizing the input and maintenance of current stock. My goal is to implement consumption buttons for every type of common, high-demand item so that the entire household can easily update stock as they use items, without having to pull their phone out or interact with some sort of tablet or scanner.
